Student Voice

In May, we conducted a focus group with grade 8-12 students to reflect on their learning experiences for the school year. The feedback was generally complimentary to the teachers and the learning taking place in their classes.  Most students expressed feeling satisfied that their learning needs were being met and that they were supported in their learning.  Students felt confident and successful in their achievement in classes.  However, one area students did express concern in was assessment and evaluation.  Students want to see consistency and better transparency, and expressed the importance of receiving regular feedback.

Some other feedback that students shared:

  • Bathroom Safety

  • Acceptable Use of Student Personal Digital Device Police

  • Mental Health
