At our Parent Advisory Committee meeting on November 13, 2019 our principal reviewed the connectedness between the BC Core Competencies, the IB Learner Profile and the RHS Learner Profile using school posters to visually represent all of the attributes. Parents then participated in a 60-minute presentation on RESILIENCY - one of the key attributes of the Learner Profile and connected to personal awareness and responsibility and a crucial component to success in school and in life. We focused on how parents can help raise resilient teenagers.

Resilient: We have a growth mindset and accept that learning may involve set-backs and adversity. We are resourceful in the face of challenges and change. We approach uncertainty with determination. We are courageous and willing to be risk-takers and pursue new challenges.
