On September 14 and 15, 2017 our staff headed up to Harrison Hot Springs. After enjoying some team building activities and dinner together on September 14, over 70 teachers and support staff spent the day of September 15 talking about "our hopes for all RHS students". We reviewed the IB Learner Profile and the BC Core Competencies and, in the context of a rapidly changing world, we brainstormed, discussed and debated the "key attributes or competencies" students will need to live well, to learn and to thrive. We concluded the day by inviting all staff to do a personal write on "how will these competencies influence what I teach and ask students learn and do this year?".  The conversations were animated and engaging.

A smaller staff "RHS Learner Profile" group has continued to meet regularly in the fall.
