Terry Fox School Run & Fundraiser

Richmond Secondary School has had a long proud tradition of honouring a great Canadian hero by participating in the Terry Fox Run.  Terry Fox was an 18-year old student at SFU when he lost his leg to cancer.  He decided to raise awareness and funds by running across Canada on one leg. His Marathon of Hope covered over 3000 miles when the cancer returned. Terry Fox passed away at the age of 22, yet his remarkable story continues to inspire Canada and the world.

We will host our annual run once again on Thursday, September 19.  Our Athletic Leadership students are continuing this important and proud RHS Colts tradition to fundraise for the Terry Fox Foundation in support of ongoing cancer research.  Learn more at:  https://www.terryfox.org/.

Please support our Coin Collection and Loonie Raffle Prize Draw for RHS merchandise, clothing, cafeteria lunches, and more!  Raffle tickets can be purchased at lunch in the foyer.  On our Terry Fox School Run Day, we are asking all participants to donate a loonie at the finish line in memory of Terry and in support of his legacy raising money for cancer research.

Or make a donation directly on SchoolCash Online at https://richmondsd38.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/82866/125/False/True
