Mental Health Week May 1-7
Richmond Secondary School and the Richmond School District are joining the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in observing Mental Health Week from May 1-7. The focus is on shifting attitudes and perceptions about mental health by helping to promote behaviours and attitudes that foster well-being, support good mental health and create a culture of understanding and acceptance.
CMHA's theme for this year's Mental Health Week is MY STORY.
#MyStory "The reality of our mental health is found in our stories."
#MyStory "Within our stories is the mental health care we all need."
The RHS Colt Ambassadors are conducting a virtual poster campaign to help celebrate, educate, and promote mental health. Digital posters highlighting Canadian mental health advocates will be posted daily on the school's Twitter and Instagram @RichmondColts as well as on the digital signage around the school.
