RHS Food Drive

RHS students, staff and families are encouraged to participate in our school-wide food drive being held over four days in December.  While the City of Richmond is a very fortunate and affluent community in many ways, poverty and the struggles of the working poor are as real in our city as in other areas of the Lower Mainland. The Richmond Food Bank Society provides support for over 2200 people in our community every week, and this includes hundreds of children. While there are many opportunities to donate and be involved in the "holiday season", the needs are year round. Our hope is that every member of our school community who is in a position to do so, will donate at least one nutritious, non-perishable food item or needed toiletry item or make a donation of money.  The Richmond Food Bank can access wholesale food prices and also supply fresh vegetables with cash donations.

Social responsibility begins and ends with members of a caring community who choose to get involved to help others.  Please support our food drive in block B classes on December 6-8-12-14.  Better yet, explore how you can help or volunteer at other times of the year: https://richmondfoodbank.org

THANK YOU!
