Digital Core Competency Reflections

Core competencies are sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that are important for learning and success. Each year, RHS students will be invited to complete reflections and self-assessments to understand who they are as learners, communicators and thinkers as well as how caring, self-regulating, self-determined, resilient and personally and socially responsible they are as people.

Our Grades 8 to 10 students completed reflections on their “critical thinking” and “social responsibility” competencies in all of their classes on May 28 and May 29. Grades 8-10 students will attend an assembly on May 30 and be expected to complete their self-assessment online. All RHS Grades 11 and 12 students completed their core competency reflections online as part of their Grad Transitions or GT assignments this year.  For more information on the core competencies, check out: https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/competencies
